For Carmen Barros Howell, Fragments of Life marks a return to her most elemental forms of expression — painting, drawing, and sculpture — with an intensity and freedom that feel both personal and expansive. And for Sita Gomez deKanelba, we are proud to present a long-overdue retrospective spanning over 50 years of her visionary work.
At 92, Sita’s creative output speak volumes — vital, fearless, and fiercely original. Though she hasn’t produced new work in recent years, her voice is as relevant as ever. The retrospective will be held at the Opera House of Hudson in February 2026, and will feature a book signing, artist talk, and an exhibition that honors her extraordinary legacy.
