Carolina Márquez-Sterling
I take my work seriously—but not too seriously.
Art, for me, is about connection. I use humor, curiosity, and instinct to nudge the viewer, share a sigh, or offer a wink. There’s no theory driving it—just an impulse to explore the human experience with sincerity and wit.
About Face is a more focused exploration: portraits of strangers imagined from their digital words alone. It reflects my lifelong fascination with how we see others—and how we invent them. This series, like all my work, invites viewers to slow down and tune in to the quiet signals that reveal a life lived.
